Hunger Games Chapter 5 comprehension questions.

1. The presentation of the tributes seem to be greatly focused on visual presentation and looks -- what does this reveal about the beliefs systems of the capitol?
This reveals about the belief system of the capitol is that they  always depend on looks. Every body in the city dresses so amazing and look so good that they want tributes to even look better. I just dont get why they get them all nice and ready to fight in a game where they must kill eachother to survive. It ridiculous to be focused on visual presentation and looks.

2. Compare and Contrast life in the Capitol to life in district 12?
Life in the capitol is soo up-going. They live a very pleasant life. Its always so bright because they get electricity 24/7. District twelve on the other hand is a very scary, ugly place. People struggle to keep alive. They dont get it so easy like the capitol does. It's always so dark in district 12 because they hardly get electricity. They have to use candles.

3. What does cinna ask Katniss and Peeta to do just before they ride out in their Chariot?
Cinna tells Katniss and Peeta to hold hands just before they ride out in their chariots. Making them hold hands demonstrates that they come together as a bond.

4. Why is it so hard for Katniss to trust Peeta?
Its very hard for Katniss to trust Peeta because she doesnt really know what he's all about. She thinks that he's trying to play this big game on her, making her think he's all nice. Soo at the end he ends up killing her even easier if they get closer.
