1. Do you think Haymitch will be helpful as a mentor? Why or why not?
I Really don't think Haymitch will be a helpful mentor. He's a drunken slob. He's hardly sober and has no way in teaching them what to do. He's gonna have to get his act all together to help Katniss and Peeta. If not, then Katniss and Peeta are doomed. I do think though if Haymitch sticks to his promise of being sober enough, he'll actually be a good mentor. Katniss and Peeta just have to worry of not bothering his drinking. He did give them very important advice at the beginning saying they must not resist what their stylist has for them because they dont like braggers. So if saying this was true, he'll actually be giving them good advice later on in the games.

2. What does Katniss mean when she says: "A kind Peeta Mellark is far more dangerous, to me than an unkind one,"?
I think what Katniss is trying to say a ' fake' kind person is worser than a striaght up unkind one. A fake kind person tricks you into thinking they are a really nice person, but later on you figure out it was all an act. And then they stab you in the back even harder than an unkind one. Like Katniss says Kind people have a way of working their way inside someone and rooting there. Soo Katniss then decides to have nothing to do with Peeta.

3. What happens to convince Haymitch that Peeta and katniss might be fighters?
In the story Katniss asks Haymitch for some advice as her mentor for the games. Haymitch stupidly said "Here's some advice. Stay alive". and bursted out laughing after. I guess niether Peeta or Katniss thought it was funny. They were serious.. Thats when Peeta got real fustrated and threw Haymitch's glass from his hand. Haymitch socked Peeta in the face. Katniss drives her knife into the table barely missing his hand. Thats when Haymitch realizes did he actually get fighters this year.

4. What is the first honest advice that Haymitch gives them?
The first honest advice Haymitch tells Katniss and Peeta is to not resist what their stylist has for them. Even if you dont like what they do to you, dont say anything. Stylist dont like braggers so it'll be a good look on them.
